Business IT migration - plan, ownership and rollback conditions

We coordinate a multi-area migration project from dependency discovery to post-cutover checks. First we establish system owners, scope and risks; we do not promise a migration with no interruption or preserved SEO rankings.

What SysGroup coordinates

  • an inventory of owners, access and dependencies, plus schedule coordination
  • a risk plan, agreed tests, a change window and rollback conditions
  • coordination of mail, domains, DNS and business services within the agreed scope

When a specialist works on it

  • server, application, database and containers: LinuxAdmin
  • WordPress or WooCommerce: the specialist WordPress migration team
  • Microsoft 365: the appropriate delivery team; business functions and application code are tested by the client or its author

What is not promised

  • we do not declare zero downtime before diagnosis and testing
  • we do not guarantee SEO rankings, traffic or sales
  • we do not take responsibility for code, payments, ERP or APIs without separate agreement
Five project stages

From inventory to post-cutover verification

The sequence may expand after diagnosis, but before a production change we agree what the project covers, who accepts the tests and when the change can be reverted.

1. Inventory

We list owners, available accounts, services, domains, DNS records, integrations and the elements critical to the business.

2. Preparation

We prepare the target environment, copies and an agreed restore test where this is part of the project scope.

3. Tests and approval

We agree acceptance criteria and the person who tests business functions before cutover.

4. Migration window

We perform only the agreed steps in the approved window, with defined conditions to stop or revert.

5. Verification and documentation

We check the agreed services, record the post-change state and provide next actions or risks.

A rollback plan works only within the conditions agreed before the change: the old environment, previous DNS records and appropriate copies must remain available. Test outcomes also depend on systems and people outside the SysGroup scope.
Migration intake

Prepare a migration brief

This form does not ask for passwords, keys, database exports or production configuration. It creates a structured description for the existing protected contact handler.

What is being migrated?
Critical functions to test

The form builds the structured brief only when it is sent. Do not include passwords, access links, secret keys, database exports or full production configuration.

Brief first, then an agreed scope

The brief must not contain passwords or keys. After receiving it, we establish whether the next step is a conversation, diagnosis or a defined project.
